he spreadsheets sink in the rapids. Nettles tear apart the focus groups. A thousand feet above sea level, that sacrosanct client brief and the quarter-end presentation succumb to vertigo. Our Corporate Outdoor Experiential Learning Division has been designed to tackle some of the most sensitive HR issues in organizations. Outbound Training has long been identified as being part of the field of experiential education and uses an experiential approach to physical and mental development. The term outdoor education has been used in a variety of contexts to describe a range of experiences and during the last century there has been tremendous growth in outdoor education due to its effectiveness.
In our residential outdoor training programs, participants live away from home and workplace and are involved in the program 24 hours a day in our facility either at Hosur or Mysore. Each of our facility has boarding and camping arrangements with fantastic natural settings and scenery amidst nature. The programs take place in novel, predominantly natural environments that are quite distinct from participants’ typical home or work environments. The outdoor experience is a key condition for outdoor activities to become learning experiences; the unfamiliar environment facilitates participants in developing new perspectives about themselves and their normal environments.

Experiential Learning: Experiential learning is based on the belief that the process of personal growth occurs through change as a result of direct experiences. It is an active process involving the learner being placed in unfamiliar environments, outside their positions of comfort and into states of dissonance. This lack of harmony requires problem solving, inquiry and reflection.
Challenge by Choice: In all our programs, we apply the concept of 'challenge by choice', and do not force or coerce any participant into any activity. The participant is encouraged to set challenging targets and encouraged to put in their best effort to achieve this target but the ultimate choice lies with him. In this way, both success and failure in completing their tasks will provide valuable learning lessons for them.
